The woman, identified as 37-year-old Rachel Morin, was last seen leaving her home in Bel Air to go for a walk on the Ma and Pa Trail at around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Her boyfriend reported her missing when she did not return home that night.
A volunteer searcher found Morin’s body at about 1:00 p.m. on Sunday off the trail in a wooded area. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said that authorities believe Morin’s death was a homicide, but they have not yet identified a suspect.
