Chivas de Guadalajara got on the board in the 27th minute, when Alexis Vega scored on a header. However, FC Cincinnati responded with two more goals in the second half, both scored by Vazquez. The first goal came in the 57th minute, and the second goal came in the 82nd minute.
The match was played behind closed doors due to the tight turnaround between the postponement and the resumption. However, the match was still available to stream on MLS Season Pass.
