Dolly Parton fans in Philadelphia will have the chance to see the country music legend perform live in concert this summer. Parton will be taking the stage at the historic Ellis Theater on August 26th for two shows, one at 3:00 PM and one at 7:00 PM.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale on Tuesday, August 8th at 9:00 AM. Prices range from $350 to $3,500, with the majority of tickets priced in the $500 to $1,000 range.
The shows will benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the Congress of Country Music. The Imagination Library is a book gifting program that provides free books to children from birth to age five. The Congress of Country Music is a non-profit organization that promotes the history and culture of country music.

In addition to the two shows at the Ellis Theater, there will also be a Dollytron viewing area set up in downtown Philadelphia. The Dollytron is a large video screen that will broadcast the live event inside the theater. Tickets for the Dollytron viewing area are $35.
The Ellis Theater is a beautiful old theater that was built in 1904. It has a capacity of 500 people, so tickets for the Parton shows are expected to sell quickly.
