Erling Haaland opened the scoring for City after just four minutes, and he doubled his tally in the 36th minute. Rodri completed the scoring in the 75th minute to seal a comfortable win for the champions.
Haaland was the star of the show for City, scoring two goals and causing all sorts of problems for the Burnley defense. The Norwegian striker is already looking like a bargain signing for City, and he will be a major threat to the rest of the Premier League this season.

City were in control of the game from start to finish, and they could have scored more goals. De Bruyne had a goal ruled out for offside in the first half, and Foden also went close on several occasions.

Burnley did have a few chances of their own, but they were unable to create anything clear-cut. The Clarets were simply outclassed by City on the day, and they will need to improve if they are to avoid relegation this season.
